Myers Fiction Home

Welcome to the Myers Fiction Home Page! You’ve just found your way into a group of nugs who enjoy reading, writing, and developing their talents every day. I specialize in fiction stories and writing advice. The Fiction storylines don’t have set dates or time frames they occur, but I give a heads up before the beginning and ending of storylines. If this is your first visit to my page, check out the posts below, or select the storyline tab to find what works best for you.

I began this blog to share my writing in a different format, but it’s slowly turned into a writing advice website as well. I don’t have the way to write, but I offer a way that allows for a less constrictive writing style. Make comments on posts, offer feedback, and send requests via my contact page. Thank you for reading and as always, keep learning, keep writing, and stay fresh, my nugs!

Don’t forget that often, this looks like a Freytag’s Pyramid, but not all pyramids are built the same. I recommend using Freytag’s Pyramid as a resource and not the…

Elements of Plot

Recap: Last week we talked about what plot is and why it’s important. If you remember, I brought up questions like, does the cause lead to the effect? And, would it make sense for your character to act out this way after such-and-such happened? By beginning to think about these questions at the beginning of…
