Brady seems to handle mental stress well. My close observation of the video recordings of his training sessions has shown the strength that I’ve always seen in Brady. The stress and pain first appear in his face, but then a transition occurs in his irises from a darker hazel to a radiating amber coursed with jade. Brady transforms from the eyes out, his body seems less tired, and then Brady adds confidence in his movements. I swear I saw Mr. Reyes take a step back the first time this occurred, and I have never seen Mr. Reyes take a step back. The boy grew too cocky at that moment, and Mr. Reyes took the opportunity to humble him. Mr. Reyes used the larger boys forward movement and took Brady down to the ground. In the quick grapple that followed, Mr. Reyes positioned Brady into a blood choke, and then the boy passed out. The only reason I know it was a blood choke was because Brady made no move to tap out. I have seen enough training sessions to know that Brady tapped quickly on a choke. I have always appreciated Mr. Reyes’s work for me, and he maintains a good work ethic even though he is not here voluntarily.
Most of my employees come here in place of jail if I can get to them before the police. It is a similar system to that of how the option of either join the military or go to jail. The system allows me to defer employment just like the military can say no in similar situations. I offer similar things, three square meals a day, a cot to sleep on, and promised employment. Funds come from different, but often the same sources. I also find myself employing men and women like Mr. Reyes. When I came into contact with Mr. Reyes, I saw a vast wealth of knowledge that would benefit all of my employees. So I acquired him as a resource and have threatened to harm his family. Mr. Reyes has now been under my employment for 10 years. I have never had any intention of hurting his family, but sometimes as The Employer, I need to think about what will most motivate those under me.
Brady proved his ability to use mental and physical stress to push himself to a higher plane of performance. Disconnection will be the next test. I think that his relationship with his mother will cause issues with his ability to disconnect from those close to him. He may hate me, but I must prepare him to be better than me. I learned the lesson of disconnection late in my career which led to more stress than necessary.
I’m amazed, I must say. Rarely do I come across a blog that’s
equally educative and engaging, and let me tell you, you have hit the
nail on the head. The problem is something not enough men and
women are speaking intelligently about. I’m very happy I stumbled across this in my search
for something regarding this.
